Virtual High-Level Dialogue on Paediatric HIV and TB in Children Living with HIV
Consultation organized by Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace, Caritas Internationalis, UNAIDS, PEPFAR on "Fast-Trackng Paediatric HIV Diagnosis and Treatment"
High-Level Dialogue to address remaining bottlenecks to quickly identify HIV-infected children (diagnostics) and link them to optimal regimes.
A) Intern. Conference: Roadmap for the future of children living with HIV;
B) Meeting with rep. of pharmaceutical and diagnostic industries in the Vatican
The Vatican platform/initiative has helped:
Elevating the technical discussions around the challenges on paediatric HIV;
Calling several stakeholders to partner and work more closely together even outside of “traditional” partnerships;
The Vatican High Level Dialogues have helped to identify the challenges, define targets and move forward with some concrete solutions – Key: collaboration within the AIDS Free Working Group; and the contribution of the Global Accelerator for Paediatric Formulations (Gap-f)
